7 Before you remove the model from its package, touch a metal part of the computer to discharge any
static electricity accumulated on your body.
8 Remove the module from its protective package.
9 Install the memory module by holding the module edge connector pointing down and the notch on the
right, and then insert it diagonally into an empty slot.
10 Lower the memory module until it clicks into place on both ends:
❑ Slide the memory module into the slot.
❑ Snap the connector into place when the board is correctly seated.
❑ Return the palm rest to its original position by aligning it with the notch on the keyboard and then
setting it on the keyboard. Handle the palmrest gently to avoid breaking the attached cable.
