D.1 LA-5033 PCI Adapter Troubleshooting Tips
Use the tools provided by Windows 2000 and XP to diagnose problems.
D.1.1 The MU cannot associate to the access point
• If there is no network available using the default ESSID of 101 the task tray icon
displays as unassociated. Select Start->Settings->Control Panel->System and display
the System Properties window. Select the Hardware tab and Device Manager. Refresh
the system to detect the new hardware and then use the Configuration Utility
Find WLANs page to detect the networks available to the adapter for association.
• Verify the adapter ESSID matches the ESSID of the AP.
• Verify the security settings set for the access point match those configured for the MU.
