6.3 Removing the PC Card Driver in Windows XP
If an existing version of the LA-5030 driver exists in the system, remove it and install the latest version
from the Symbol Web site (http://www.symbol.com/services/downloads/wn_abg_drivers.html).
To remove a driver from the system in Windows XP:
1. Click Start and select Control Panel.
2. Select the Switch to Classic View Windows XP option.
3. Select System and click on the Hardware tab.
4. Click the Device Manager button. Double-click Network Adapters.
A list of the devices currently supported on the system by Windows XP displays.
5. Right-click on the Symbol LA-5030 Wireless Networker 802.11a/g CardBus Adapter and
select Uninstall.
The Confirm Device Removal window warns the user the system will uninstall the device.
6. Select OK.
Proceed to Installing the LA-5030 PC Card Driver and Configuration Utility in Windows XP on
page 6-2 and reinstall the driver.
