Use Caution in Mounting the PCX2600 - Do not place the PCX2600 on an unstable surface or
support. The PCX2600 may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, as well as serious damage to
the PCX2600.
Use Care in Moving Product-and-Cart Combinations - Quick stops, excessive, force and uneven
surfaces may cause the product-and-cart combination to overturn.
Do Not use Near Medical Equipment - Do not operate the PCX2600 near equipment that is
susceptible to electrical interference, or is used for medical purpose. Do not use the PCX2600 near a
pacemaker of a patient care area in the hospital.
Ground the Cable Systems – Be sure that the outside cable system is grounded, so as to provide
some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges. Section 810 of the national Electric
Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70-1984 (Section 54 of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1) provides
information with respect to proper grounding of the cable systems.
Do not disconnect RF cable from your PCX2600 while the power to your modem is on.
Wait at least 10 seconds between disconnecting and reconnecting the PCX2600 with the AC
adapter.
Unplug the PCX2600 from the wall outlet carefully, as the AC adapter may be hot.

Unplug Power Before Cleaning-Do not use liquid cleaner or aerosol cleaner. Use a damp cloth for
cleaning.
Keep Objects Out of Openings - Never push objects of any kind into the PCX2600 through openings
such as the ventilation holes, as they may touch voltage circuits and "short-out" parts, which could
result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid on the PCX2600.
Protect From Lightning - Unplug the PCX2600 during a lightning storm, or when it unattended and
unused for long periods. Remove the power adapter from the wall outlet. This will prevent damage to
the PCX2600 due to lightning and power line surges. Take care not to touch the metal portion of
PCX2600 or cables in a lightning storm.
