System Administrator’s Mailbox
System Availability: All systems
Stratagy has a special mailbox known as the System Administrator mailbox. It is Mailbox 999 and
the System Administrator can access it through the telephone just as any other mailbox. The
mailbox number (999) cannot be assigned to another mailbox number.
Through the mailbox, the System Administrator can perform the following functions:
• Record or delete a system announcement
• Record busy-hold music
• Lock and unlock user mailbox
• Review the system status
• Add, delete or reset a mailbox
• Reset security code
• Set the system date and time
• Add the user’s name to the directory
• Record or change the instructional greeting
Benefit(s)
Enables the System Administrator to perform these functions from a telephone, without the need
of a monitor/keyboard.
System Backup
System Availability: All systems
Stratagy Flash, IVP8
Database information, greetings, and messages can be backed up onto floppy disks individually or
in any combination. Stratagy estimates the number of floppy disks required.
In the event of a replaced system or fatal error, the backup would be used to restore the system
configuration.
Benefit(s)
• Greatly reduces the programming time of a repaired or upgraded system.
• Reduces the downtime of the customer’s system.
Stratagy iES32
Database information, greetings, and messages can be backed to a network server through the
iES32’s 10/100TBase network connection.
Stratagy ES4, ES80, ES96, ES96R
Using the Windows NT Backup program, customer configuration database information, greetings,
and messages can be backed up onto an optional tape drive.
