4.1 General 4 Replacement Procedures
Removing the MDC Card
Remove the MDC Card (Modem Daughter Card) according to the following procedures and
Figures 4-7 and 4-8, after checking that the computer is turned off in boot mode.
CAUTION: Remove the MDC card after turning off the computer. If this is violated, the
computer or MDC card can be damaged.
1. Turn the computer upside down.
2. Release the optional memory cover securing screw.
3. Remove the optional memory cover.
CAUTION: Do not touch the connectors on the MDC card or in the computer.
Contaminated connectors can cause MDC card failures.
