Installation is complete! Enjoy your

To be best prepared for any future
customer service needs: print this user
guide and write the serial number in
“For Your Records” on page 1. (See
back of monitor.)

Quick Installation
1 Connect video cable
Make sure both the monitor and
computer are powered OFF. Connect
the video cable to the computer.
Macintosh
®
users: Connect a
Macintosh adapter to the video cable,
then to the computer. To order a
Macintosh adapter contact ViewSonic
(see Customer Support).
2 Connect power cord
Connect the power cord from a
properly grounded AC outlet to the
monitor.
3 Power-ON monitor and computer
Power-ON the monitor, then power-
ON the computer. This sequence
(monitor before computer) is very
important.
NOTE: At this point Windows
®
98
users may receive a message asking
them to install the M70/M70B’s INF
file.
4 Install Display Optimization
files (INF and ICM files)
(1) Insert the ViewSonic Wizard CD-
ROM into your computer’s CD-ROM
drive.
NOTE: If your computer does not
have a CD-ROM drive, see Customer
Support in this manual.

(2) Wait for the CD-ROM to auto-start.
NOTE: If the CD-ROM does not auto-
start: double-click on the CD-ROM icon
in Windows Explorer, then double-click
on install.exe.
(3) Follow the on-screen instructions.
5 Audio Installation (optional)
• Speakers: Connect audio cable
(limecolored cable) to the
AUDIO OUT port of your computer's
sound card, then to the monitor's
AUDIO IN port (see illustration below).
• Microphone: Connect audio cable(pink
colored cable) to the MIC IN port of
your computer's sound card, then to
the monitor's MIC OUT port (see
illustration below).
6 Use the OnView
®
controls to adjust
the screen image.
See Using the Monitor (page 5).
