4.6.1.1.6 After Heater menu
The 8254E calls this the "Drier menu" but the items and steps are identical.
Allows you to set up the After Heater temperature to dry the printed media. This control is active during
printing operation.
• The preset temperature of the After Heater varies, depending on the media.
For the preset temperature of the After Heater, contact your local XEROX Sales
Representative for a recommended media list.
4.6.1.1.7 StandbyHeating menu
Allows you to set up the length of time to preheat the heater while the printer is in standby mode.
Setup item Setting Description
AfterHeater Off / <30° C> to 50° C Sets up the After Heater temperature.

• Pressing the [Enter] key saves the setting and shifts to
the previous menu.
• Pressing the [Cancel] key cancels the setting and
shifts to the previous menu.

Setup item Setting Description
Standby 10 min to <60 min> to 240
min
Sets the length of time to preheat the heaters.
When more than the set time has passed, each heater
turns off.
