4.6.1.3.1 Flushing Return Count menu
This menu allows you to set how often the print head returns to the original flushing box when setting the
On Media option in the Flushing menu. This "how often" is called the Flushing Return Count.
You can access this sub-menu by pressing the [Enter] key while you have "On Media" displayed in the
control panel.
• Increasing the flushing return count (which means longer times between flushings)
may result in clogging while continuously printing.
4.6.1.4 Side Margin menu
Allows you to set up the right and left Side Margins while printing.
• When selecting "On Media" as the setting in the Flushing menu, the value of the Side
Margin menu is disabled and the margin on which the flushing operation will be
performed is set automatically.
4.6.1.3 Flushing menu
• 8264E only - When using the media holder plates, set the side margin setting to
10mm.

Setup item Setting Description
ReturnCount 0cnt to <5cnt> to 999cnt Sets the Flushing Return Count.
Example
• 1cnt: The print head returns to the flushing box on the
original side every
time the print head leaves and
returns.
• 5cnt: The print head returns to the flushing box on the
original side every fifth
time the print head leaves and
returns.

• Pressing the [Enter] key saves the setting and shifts to
the previous menu.
• Pressing the [Cancel] key cancels the setting and
shifts to the previous menu.
