6.4 Moving or transporting the printer
This section describes how to move or transport the printer.
6.4.1 Moving the printer over short distances
This section describes how to move the printer short distances within a building. It does not address the
transport of the printer for long distances, as from one building to another.
Always maintain the printer in a horizontal position when moving it.
Do not slant the printer, prop it against a wall, or turn it upside down. There is a
possibility that ink inside the printer may leak. Moreover, normal operation after
shifting to these positions cannot be guaranteed.
The wheels supplied with the dedicated stand are intended for movement over short
distances on flat indoor floors, not for transporting equipment long distances or
between buildings.
(1) Preparation before moving
When using a dedicated stand, follow the procedure below to move the printer.
1. Make sure that the printer’s power has first
been turned OFF by pressing the [Power] key.
3.3.2 Turning the power OFF
2. Dispose of waste fluid.
1.3 Important safety instructions
