3. Press the [+] key or [–] key to select the type of the loaded media.
4. Press the [Enter] key. "Media Initial" displays in the control panel.
• The media type is set.
• Media initial operation starts.
• If the following operations are performed in the media type setup menu, the
printer starts the media initial operation:
• Pressing the [Cancel] key.
• No keys on the control panel are pressed for ten seconds.
• Any time the media loading lever is raised then lowered, the printer will display
"Media: Type x OK?" The "x" represents the printer’s default media type. From the
factory that default is Type 1. Otherwise, the media type will be the last one that
was used. If no keys are pressed, the printer will default to that media type. It will
display "Media Initial." The print head will move across the width of the media and
then display the media's width. Press any key and the display will return to "Ready
to Print."
