When installing:
• Before you attach the fan assembly to the computer, attach new thermal putty on the video card as shown as
a in
this gure.
• Apply thermal grease, at an amount of 0.2 grams, on the part marked b as in the following gure. Either too much
or too less application of grease can cause a thermal problem due to imperfect contact with a component.
• Make sure that the fan connector is attached rmly.

• “1170 CPU thermal device/fan” on page 98
Attention: CPU is extremely sensitive. When you service the CPU, avoid any kind of rough handling.
