" Administrative rights to the NT/2000 server and to all portions of the NDS tree that
contain domain-enabled User objects. For an installation into an existing tree, you
need administrative rights to the Tree object so that you can extend the schema and
create objects.
NOTE: The [Root] object, used in earlier versions of NDS, has been renamed to Tree
in NDS eDirectory 8.5.
Hardware Requirements
Hardware requirements depend on the specific implementation of NDS.
For example, a base installation of NDS eDirectory with the standard schema requires
about 74 MB of disk space for every 50,000 users. However, if you add a new set of
attributes or completely fill in every existing attribute, the object size grows. These
additions affect the disk space, processor, and memory needed.
