If your scanner is the first external device of your SCSI chain

Connect the 50-pin end of the SCSI cable to the connector of the next device in the SCSI
chain.

Snap the diamond shaped wire clips into the clip brackets to secure the connection.

Connect the 25-pin end of the SCSI cable to the connector of the scanner.

Tighten the connector screws to secure the connection.
5
Make sure that the last device in the SCSI chain is terminated.
