IGMP snooping querier can be enabled on a VLAN only if IGMP snooping is
enabled for that VLAN.
No more then one switch can be configured as an IGMP Querier for a VLAN.
When IGMP Snooping Querier is enabled, it starts after host-time-out/2 with
no IGMP traffic detected from a multicast router.
The IGMP Snooping Querier would disable itself if it detects IGMP traffic
from a multicast router. It would restart itself after host-time-out/2.
Following are the IGMP Snooping Querier parameters as function of the
IGMP Snooping parameters:
- QueryMaxResponseTime: host-time-out/10
- QueryInterval: host-time-out/3
