Removing the Diskette Drive
1.
Prepare the
computer for
disassembly.
2. Remove the
palmrest cover
with touch pad.
3. Remove the
keyboard.
4. Remove the
heatspreader.
5. Remove the hard
drive.
6. Remove the
display panel
assembly.
7. Remove the
upper CPU cover.
8. Remove the
battery charger
board.
9. Remove the
speaker
assembly.
10. Disconnect the
diskette drive
data cable from
the system
board.
To replace the diskette
drive, reverse the
previous procedures.
NOTE:
Ensure the
diskette drive
eject lever is
properly
inserted in the
chassis slot,
when replacing
the diskette
drive.
