Monitoring for Transitions
Use the Alarm Viewer to watch for transition activity on a cluster. From the ServerWORKS Manager
Console, click on the Alarm Viewer status button for the severity that you chose for the Not current
controller and current controller alarm. If a server resource has transitioned from one server to another,
the alarm appears in the Alarm Viewer. Double-click on the alarm to see the details.
DIGITAL Server Cluster Kits
DIGITAL Server Cluster Kit Overview
The DIGITAL Server Cluster Kits are designed to simplify the ordering and building of a NT cluster
using either DCNT or MSCS. DIGITAL Server Cluster Kits contain all the necessary base components,
including:
Storage array (both RAID and JBOD versions are available)
SCSI bus hardware (host adapters, controllers/signal converters, cables and termination)
Note: The NTSBU only supports the 2944UW on MSCS. However, we do support the KZPSA with
DCNT. StorageWorks supports the KZ board with MSCS. You'll see a few of their configurations
on Microsoft's HCL.
RAID controller (where applicable)
Private network hardware (network adapters and cable)
RAID Management software and firmware
ServerWORKS Manager software
