8.6 SRM Environment Variables for COM1
Several SRM environment variables allow you to set up the COM1 port
for use with the SCM. Default values are read from shared RAM and
set to whatever the SCM values are at console boot time.
com1_baud
Sets the baud rate of the COM1 port and the modem
port. The default is 57600 for the local port and the
modem port. Other allowable baud rates are: 38400,
19200, 9600, 7200, 4800, 3600, and 2400.
com1_flow
Specifies the flow control on the serial port. The
default is software. Other values include hardware,
none,andboth.
com1_mode
Specifies the COM1 data flow paths so that data
either flows through the SCM or bypasses it. This
environment variable can be set from either the SRM
or the SCM. The default value is through.Other
values are local, snoop, soft bypass,andfirm
bypass.
com1_modem
Specifies to the operating system whether or not a
modem is present.
