5.1 Setting an IP Address in your computer
This section explains how to set a static IP in your computer’s operating system, in
order to connect to the AV200 Powerline Adapter and configure it.
5.1.1 Setting up a static IP in Windows XP
1. Click the
Start button, open the Control Panel. From there, click the
Network Connections icon and then the Network Connections window
appears.

2. Select the Local Area Connection icon for the applicable adapter (Ethernet
adapter or Powerline - usually the first adapter listed). Double-click the Local
Area Connection.
3. The Local Area Connection Status screen will appear. Click the Properties
button.
