Troubleshooting
CAUTION: Follow the safety instructions before you perform any of the
procedures in this section.
Self-Test
Your monitor features a self-test feature that allows you to check whether your monitor
is functioning properly. If your monitor and computer are properly connected but the
monitor screen remains dark, run the monitor self-test by performing the following
steps:
1. Turn o your computer and the monitor.
2. Unplug the display cable from the back of the computer. To ensure proper
self-test operation, remove both the digital (white connector) and the analog
(blueconnector) cables from the back of computer, if connected.
3. Turn on the monitor.
If the monitor is working correctly but cannot sense an incoming video signal, one
of the following messages appear on the screen, depending on the selected input.
The power light remains blue in self-test mode.

NOTE: This message also appears during normal operation if the display cable
gets disconnected or damaged.
4. Turn o your monitor, disconnect and reconnect the display cable, then turn on
your computer and the monitor.
If your monitor screen remains blank after you use the self test, check your video
controller and computer, it shows monitor has a problem.
