Connect the power and data cables to the drive.

Check all cable connections, and fold cables out of the way to avoid blocking the fan and
cooling vents.

Replace the computer cover (see page 96).

Replace the drive panel (see page 76).
NOTICE: To connect a network cable, first plug the cable in to the network port or device, and then plug
it in to the computer.

Connect your computer and devices to their electrical outlets, and turn them on.
See the documentation that came with the drive for instructions on installing any software
required for drive operation.

Enter system setup (see page 103) and select the appropriate
Drive
option.

Verify that your computer works correctly by running the Dell Diagnostics (see page 51).
