Ctrl-C terminates whatever command is being run from the console or a
telnet
session.
Because the console and
telnet
share a single session, a command entered at the
console or through
telnet
can be terminated inadvertently from either location.
To ensure that a command is not terminated by Ctrl-C, start the command from a
trusted host through
rsh
.

A system password is required to establish a console or
telnet
connection with the
filer. The password was specified during
setup
.
You can change the system password at any time with the
passwd
command. When
you enter the
passwd
command, the filer prompts you to enter the old password, if
any, and then requests the new password twice.
