You are not prompted for a password when deleting a user.

To delete an administrative user, enter the following command:

Use the
userlist
option to get a list of administrative users on a filer. You can use
the
userlist
option at any time to determine whether you need to add or delete
administrative users.

To list one or more administrative users using a console,
telnet
or
rsh
, enter the

username_list
is a space-separated list of login names you want to display.
NOTE: If you do not specify any user names, all administrative users are listed.

passwd
command from a console,
telnet

rsh
to change your adminis-
trative password on a filer at any time. Changing your password at regular intervals
can provide you with better filer security.

When you use
telnet
or a console, the
passwd
command prompts you for the user
name if administrative users, other than root, exist.
The
passwd
command only accepts arguments when you use
rsh
.
