Installing The LED Module
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only
perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as
directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is
not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions
that came with the product.
1. Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals.
2. Disconnect the power cable from the power source.
3. Remove the bezel, if applicable.
4. Align the LED module with the standoffs on the chassis.
5. Install the screws to secure the LED module to the chassis.
6. Paste the LED label on the LED Module.
Control-Panel Board
Removing The Control-Panel Board

that came with the product.
1. If installed, remove the front bezel.
2. Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the
electrical outlet and peripherals.
3. Open the system.
4. Remove the 3.5 inch hard-drive cage, if applicable.
5. Disconnect the control-panel cable at the back of the control-panel board:
CAUTION: Do not pull on the cable to unseat the connector. Doing so can damage the cable.
a) Press the metal tabs on the ends of the cable connector.
b) Gently work the connector out of the socket.
6. Remove all the cables connecting the control-panel board to the chassis.
7. Remove the screw(s) securing the control-panel board to the chassis.
