Switching on the notebook

► Press the release button (1) and open
the LCD–display panel (2).

► Press the ON/OFF swit
ch (1) to switch
the notebook on.
The power-on indicator is lit.
Windows XP:
You can configure the ON/OFF switch under Start – (Settings) – Control Panel –
Performance and Maintenance – Power Options – Advanced.
Windows Vista:
You can configure the ON/OFF switch under Start symbol – (Settings) –
Control Panel – Mobile PC – Power Options.
If you have assigned a password, you must enter this when requested to do s o, in
order to s tart the operating system password. You can find more infor m ation in the
"Professional Notebook" operating instructions, "Security functions" section.
