Executing Ping or Link Tests from the Switch Console
(To cancel a Ping or Link test that is in progress, press [Ctrl] [C].)
1. From the Main Menu, select:

2. Do one of the following:
a. For a Link test, enter the 12-digit hexadecimal MAC address of the
target device.
b. For a Ping test, enter the IP address of the target device.
3. If the VLAN parameter does not appear, multiple VLANs are not config-
ured; go to the next step. If the VLAN parameter appears, select it and use
the Space bar to select the VLAN of the target device.
4. Select the Repetitions parameter and type in the number of times you want
the test to be made.
5. Select Time-out and select the number of seconds to allow for each test.
