Controller Firmware
HP StorageWorks EVA4100/6100/8100 is factory installed with XCS v6.110.
Separate Media kits and licenses are required to support HP Continuous Access EVA
and HP Business Copy.
XCS V6.110 supports all 2 and 4Gb EVA4x00/6x00/8x00 models.
HP StorageWorks EVA4x00/6x00/8x00 XCS v6.110 controller media download is
available from HP.com. These downloads are available for upgrades of existing 2 and
4Gb EVA4000/6000/8000s and as archival media for the
EVA4100/6100/8100. The EVA Release Notes and Upgrading Product software
Guide are also available from the same location.

HP Command View EVA V7.0 or above is mandatory to support the new features in
XCS V6.110. An HP Command View License-to-Use (LTU) must be purchased for each
EVA controller pair. Each HP EVA must be licensed with the appropriate HP Command
View LTU(s) to be in compliance with the End User License Agreement (EULA) and the
Command View license monitoring function.
The Command View licensed capacity per EVA must be equal to, or greater than the
total raw capacity of each EVA. HP Command View EVA may be purchased in
increments of a 1TB LTU (one or multiple 1TB LTUs based upon the EVA's raw
capacity), or an HP Command View Unlimited Capacity LTU may be purchased which
will support up to the maximum raw storage capacity of the EVA.

NOTE:
EVA4100 Starter Kits include Command View EVA software and licensing up
to 4TBs.
NOTE:
The HP StorageWorks EVA4x00/6x00/8x00 controller media kit is no
longer a required purchase with a new EVA or available for sale. XCS upgrades are
available as downloads from HP.com.
