Removal and Replacement Procedures

Steps 5 and 6 apply only to notebook models with an
AMD Athlon 64 or Athlon XP-M processor.
5. Press the processor lock lever slightly to the left to release it
and then lift it up so that it rotates toward you to a 90-degree
angle 1 to release the processor from the socket.
6. Lift the processor straight up 2 to remove it.

Align the gold triangle 3 in the upper-right corner when you
reinstall the processor.
Removing the Processor
Reverse the above procedure to install the processor.
