Configuring
the
server
The
following
configuration
programs
and
capabilities
come
with
your
server:

Configuration/Setup
Utility
program
The
Configuration/Setup
Utility
program
is
part
of
the
basic
input/output
system
(BIOS)
code
in
your
server.
Use
it
to
configure
management
port
assignments,
change
interrupt
request
(IRQ)
settings,
change
the
startup-device
sequence,
set
the
date
and
time,
and
set
passwords.
For
information
about
using
this
utility
program,

Note:
In
a
16-way
configuration,
some
options
or
settings
are
defined
through
the
primary
server,
while
others
must
be
defined
on
the
individual
server.
Ensure
that
options
or
settings
on
the
secondary
server
are
correct
before
creating
a
scalable
partition.

Setup
and
Installation
CD
The
ServerGuide
program
provides
software-setup
tools
and
installation
tools
that
are
designed
for
your
server.
Use
this
CD
during
the
installation
of
your
server
to
configure
basic
hardware
features,
such
as
an
integrated
SCSI
controller
with
RAID
capabilities,
and
to
simplify
the
installation
of
your
operating
system.
