make
that
connection,
you
can
connect
the
servers
together
using
their
ASM
interconnect
ports.

Connecting
the
ASM
Interconnect
module
to
the
xSeries
445:
The
ASM
Interconnect
module
connects
the
Remote
Supervisor
Adapter
to
the
ASM
interconnect
network.
This
module
must
be
purchased
separately.
To
connect
the
ASM
interconnect
module
to
the
Remote
Supervisor
Adapter,
complete
the
following
steps.
Attention:
To
avoid
damage
to
the
Ethernet
connector,
do
not
plug
the
ASM
interconnect
module
into
the
Remote
Supervisor
Adapter
Ethernet
port.

Connect
the
ASM
Interconnect
module

to
the
Remote
Supervisor
Adapter
ASM
interconnect
(peer-to-peer)
port
2
as
shown
in
the
following
illustration.
This
port
is
on
the
edge
of
the
Remote
Supervisor
Adapter
that
is
accessible
from
the
rear
of
the
server
and
is
labeled
RS485.
