up

Remote
Supervisor

This

Remote
Supervisor
Adapter

(ASM)

server

remote
location.

Setup
requirements
Before
you
set

Remote
Supervisor
Adapter,
you
must
download

a
diskette,
the
DOS
Remote
Supervisor
Utility
program
from
http://www.ibm.com/pc/support/.
Complete
the

you
set
up
the
Remote
Supervisor
Adapter:

the
operating
system
on
the
server,
using
ServerGuide
and
the
documentation
that
comes
with
the
operating
system.
v
Install
the
agent
component
of
UM
Server
Extensions
to
use
the
following
Advanced
System
Management
(ASM)

interface
features:
Shutdown

and
then
Power
Off
Server
Shutdown
O/S
and

Restart
Server

Extensions
is

software
