Problem: The screen resolution is not correct.
v Make sure the computers video card is set for a resolution of no greater
than 1280 x 1024.
Problem: Image is not centered on the screen.
v Move the projector to reposition the image.
v Reposition the image using the menu. Refer to ‘‘Horizontal position’’ on
page 21 and ‘‘‘Vertical position’’ on page 22.
v Be sure the projector is at a 90-degree angle to the screen.
Problem: Image is too wide or narrow for screen.
v Adjust the zoom or projector placement.
v Adjust the resolution of your video card if it is greater than 1280 x 1024.
Problem: Image is out of focus.
v Turn the projection lens to focus the image.
v Make sure the projection screen is at least 1.5 m (5 feet) from the projector.
v Check the projection lens to see if it needs cleaning.
Problem: Image and menus are reversed left to right.
v Rear projection mode is probably turned on. Turn Rear Projection off in the
Controls menu. The image should immediately return to forward
projection. See Rear projection on page 24.
Problem: the projector displays vertical lines or spot.
v Adjust the brightness. For more information see Brightness on page 19.
v Check the projection lens to see if it needs cleaning.
Problem: The image is streaked.
Try these steps in this order:
1. Deactivate the screen saver on your computer.
2. Turn Auto Image off, and then on again. See Auto image on page 21.
3. Turn Auto Image off, and adjust the synchronization and tracking
manually to find an optimal setting. See Manual sync and Manual
tracking on page 21. The problem might be with your computer video
adapter. If possible, connect the projector to a different computer.
