Host-Based ICC Color Matching
You may prefer to use the color matching system built into your host
software applications such as QuarkXPress, PhotoShop, and Illustrator.
To support host-based color matching, KONICA MINOLTA provides a
Windows ICM printer profile to define the printer’s color space to the
software’s color matching system. To activate this function, simply select
“ICM” from the printer driver then choose the preferred ICM method and
rendering intent.
Dynamic Contone Screening
Dynamic Contone Screening is a convenient color tool that optimizes
output by analyzing page elements, then automatically adjusts color
based on these contents. This same function can be performed
manually, allowing you to adjust color settings for each page object—
Images, Text and Graphics. This hands-on method of color matching is
performed via the printer driver by choosing the “Custom” setting.
Choose “Custom” to perform Dynamic
Contone Screening manually.
Select ICM from the driver to de-activate the
printer’s internal CMM and use host-based
color matching.
