This projector has a filter cover (filter) for keeping dust out. When using the projector in a dusty place, attach this filter
cover.
Installation
Before installing this filter to the projector, be sure
to unplug the projector from the outlet.
1. Fit three hooks of the filter cover into the projector.
2. Push the filter cover in the direction of the arrow.
If you use excess force to push the filter cover,
the hooks may be damaged.
3. Tighten the attachment screw (a) firmly.
Cleaning
Warning:
Never use flammable air duster or other materials when cleaning the air-filter. Flammable substances may ignite
causing fire or breakdown when the lamp is illuminated.
Before cleaning, be sure to turn off the main power switch and unplug the projector from the outlet.
Clean the filter frequently (at least once a month). When dust accumulates on the filter at the air inlet, the
temperature inside the projector may rise abnormally high, causing damage to the internal parts and reducing the
lifetime of the panel.
In case of any abnormality including an abnormal rise of the inside temperature, the projector may automatically turn off
and go into the standby mode where the light source lamp is turned off in order to protect its internal parts.
Cleaning the filter
1. Remove the screw (a) from the filter cover.
Be careful not to lose the screw.
2. Move the filter cover in the direction of the arrow.
3. Release three hooks and remove the filter cover from
the projector.
If you use excess force to pull the filter cover, the
latches may be damaged.
4. Remove the holder that is retaining the filter while
pushing the tab of the holder in the direction of the
arrow.
5. Remove the filter from the filter cover.
6. Clean dirt and dust adhering to the filter using a
vacuum.
If stubborn stains persist, wash the filter with diluted
detergent, rinse with water, and dry well.
7. Attach the filter to the filter cover.
Make sure that the filter is positioned correctly.
8. Fit and push the holder as far as it will go and press it in
the direction of the arrow to install.
9. Fit three hooks of the filter cover into the projector.
10. Push the filter cover in the direction of the arrow.
If you use excess force to push the filter cover, the
hooks may be damaged.
11. Tighten the attachment screw (a) of the filter cover
firmly.
Don’t use any other filters than that designed for this projector.
