Cleaning the Scanner
Keeping the scan windows clean helps keep the read rate exceptionally high. During
normal operation the scan windows get dirty, and if you permit the dirt to accumulate,
performance degrades to the point where the scanner cannot read bar codes. Use a soft
cloth to clean the scan windows, using a common, non-abrasive, liquid window
cleaner. Be sure to spray the cleaner onto the cloth, not directly onto the scanner.
