Safety Guidelines

The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall beeasily accessible.

Use a power cable that isproperly grounded. Always use the appropriateACcord that is certi-
fied for the individual country. Some examplesare listed below:
IMPORTANT NOTICE CONCERNING POWER CORD SELECTION
The power cord setfor thisunit has beenenclosed and has been selected according to the country ofdes-
tination and must be used to prevent electric shock.Use thefollowing guidelinesifit isnecessary toreplace
the originalcord set, or ifthe cord setis not enclosed.
The female receptacleof thecord set must meet IEC-60320 requirementsand will look like(Figure A1 below):
For the United States and Canada
In the United States and Canada the male plug isa NEMA5-15 style (Figure A2), UL Listed, and CSA
Labeled. For units which are mounted on a desk or table, type SVTor SJT cord setsmay be used. For
unitswhich sit on the floor, only SJT type cord sets may be used. The cordset mustbe selectedaccording
to the current rating for your unit. Please consult the table below for the selection criteria for power cords
used in the United Statesand Canada.
For European Countries
In Europe you must use acord set whichis appropriatefor the receptacles in your country. The cord setis HAR-
Certified, and aspecial mark thatwill appearon theoutersheath, oron the insulation of one of theinnerconductors.
