Click the
tab and check whether the
CD-ROM drive is listed.
If the CD-ROM icon is listed in both Step 3 and
this step, you can stop here. Windows 95 has
successfully recognized your new CD-ROM drive.
Otherwise, proceed with Steps 7 and 8.

Install the supplied device driver under DOS by
following the instructions given in
Section 2.2.1.

Restart Windows 95 and repeat Step 3.
This time the CD-ROM icon should appear in
’s peripheral icon display (but not in the
Device Manager’s listing for reasons beyond this
manual’s purposes).
