Symptom Cause/Remedy
AIBO does not chase the
supplied ball.
When no AIBO-ware “Memory Stick” is
inserted, AIBO responds to the ball, but does not
chase it.
The back light does not
turn off when you press
the pause button to make
AIBO pause.
The internal application may not be terminated
normally.
c Remove the battery pack (page 44). Re-insert
the battery pack and press the pause button
again (page 41). If the BATT Z latch is
inoperable, use the emergency release hole
(page 25).
AIBO soon asks for
charging even with a
fully charged battery
pack.
When the battery pack’s operating time has
become noticeably short, it may have reached its
end of life. Replace it with a new battery pack
(page 44).
No musical tone is
emitted from AIBO.
AIBO’s musical tone is muted.
