Installing the Driver (Alternative Procedure)
Right click the “My Computer” icon on your desktop and choose Properties.1.
Click on the 2. Hardware tab and select Device Manager to bring up the list of
system devices.
You may see one or two yellow question marks (?) that read QLogic GEM354 3.
or GEM318 SCSI Processor Device. Right click on these, and select uninstall.
If two such question marks are present, uninstall both.
Select the 4. Action tab and click on Scan for Hardware Changes. The Hard-
ware Wizard program should start up. Click the Next button.
At the rst prompt, select 5. Display a list of known device drivers for the
device so that I can choose a specic driver and click the Next button.
Select 6. Other Devices and click Next.
Select 7. Have Disk, specify your oppy drive location in the options box, and
click Next.
Select 8. Enclosure Services Device and click Next.
Ignore the warning prompt by clicking 9. Yes.
