Chapter 5: Chassis Setup and Maintenance
5-4 Removing Nodes from the Chassis
Each of the eight individual nodes may be removed from the chassis. Note that
when a node is removed from the chassis, the hard drives located in the node will
shut-down.
Removing a Node
1. Power down the system and remove the power cords from the rear of the
node as described in Section 5-2.
2. Grasp the node by the handles on either side of the front of the node.
3. Carefully pull the node forward and out of the chassis.

Removing the Node Cover
1. Remove the power cord from the node as described in Section 5-2 and re-
move the node from the chassis as described in Section 5-4.
2. Remove the two screws on either side of the rear of the node.
3. Lift the cover up and off the node.
