Assembling the PCIE Slot Bracket Assembly
Each node supports one expansion card. This expansion card must be plugged into
a riser card, which in turn plugs into the motherboard.
Assembling the PCIE Slot Bracket Assembly
1. Remove the node from the chassis as described in Section 5-2, remove the
node from the chassis as described in Section 5-4 and remove the cover from
the node as described in Section 5-5.
2. Open the PCIE slot clip and remove the PCIE slot shield. (See the illustration
on the previous page)
3. Remove the three mounting screws securing the PCIE slot bracket to the
node.
4. Lift the PCIE slot bracket out of the node.
5. Insert the expansion card into the riser card.
6. Secure the riser card to the PCIE slot bracket using the two screws included
in the accessory box.
7. Insert the expansion card bracket into the PCIE slot bracket
8. Secure the expansion card bracket ot the PCIE slot bracket using two screws
as illustrated.
