Mounting an Antenna
If your OMEGA does not have an antenna preinstalled.
1.
Remove the nylon nut at the base of the antenna. You will use
this nut to secure the antenna to OMEGA. Do not remove the
washer located between the nut and the antenna.
2.
Open the OMEGA enclosure and insert the antenna wire
through the OMEGA antenna hole. Then rest the antenna on
the OMEGA antenna hole. The bottom of the antenna should
protrude through the antenna hole.
3.
Attach the antenna wire to the SMA connector on the OMEGA
transceiver.
4.
Hold the cone part of the antenna with one hand. Then use your
other hand to fasten the nut to the bottom of the antenna
protruding through the antenna hole. This will secure the
antenna to the OMEGA enclosure.
