4 Replacement Procedures 4.21 CPU and Thermal Module
1. Rotate the cam on the CPU socket counterclockwise to the unlock position with a flat
blade screwdriver.
2. Remove the CPU.

Installing the CPU and Thermal Module
Install the CPU and Thermal Module according to the following procedures.
1. Make sure the cam is in the unlock position.
2. Seat the CPU on the socket, using care not to damage the pins. Align the CPU with the
CPU socket by using the triangle as a guide.
3. Rotate the cam clockwise to the lock position with a flat blade screwdriver.
CAUTION:
When installing the thermal module, keep the following in mind:
1. Be sure to confirm the correct position for the module.
2. Secure the relevant screws on the thermal module to the motherboard according to the
number sequence sealed on the thermal module.
