4 Handling The Printer

4.6.3 Adjust Print menu (Setup item 3 of 7 total)
Allows you to adjust the printer for optimum print quality (Alignment).
Access this menu by pressing the [Menu] key which causes "Menu1: Setup>" to appear in the control
panel’s display. Pressing the [-] key twice causes "Menu3: Adjust Print>" to display. (The > character after
a menu name indicates that there are sub-menus under that menu.)
From the "Menu3: Adjust Print>" display, press the [>] key. This takes you to the first sub-menu titled
"Adj.1: Confirm." Pressing the [-] and [+] keys allows you to increment up or down to each of the Setup
items in the left column below.
Alignment must be set forevery printing mode.
3.7 Adjust print
After selecting the desired printing mode, perform an alignment.
4.6.1.1.2 Print Mode menu
Set List Allows Setup List printing to be performed.
Used for checking the printer’s setup items.
3.6.1 Setup List
ALL Set List Allows Setup List printing to be performed.
Used for checking the printer’s setup items, user media and print mode.
3.6.1 Setup List
Palette Allows Palette Printing to be performed.
Used to compare actual colors of the printer to colors on the computer.
3.6.4 Color Palette
When "Banner 1" or "Banner 2" is set in the Print Mode
menu, PalettePrint is not displayed.
4.6.1.1.2 Print Mode menu
Pressing the [Enter] key causes "Printing" to be displayed in the control panel
and the test printing to start.
Pressing the [Cancel] key shifts to the previous menu.
Setup item Description
Confirm Prints the test pattern for Alignment.
Bi-D Quality Sets up the set value when performing two-way printing in the quality
priority
mode.
Bi-D Normal Sets up the set value when performing two-way printing in the normal
mode.
8264E only - Bi-D Speed
Sets up the set value when performing two-way printing in the speed mode.
Pressing the [Enter] key causes "Printing" to be displayed in the control panel
and the test pattern printing to start.
Pressing the [Cancel] key shifts to the previous menu.
