Static Route Screens
This chapter shows you how to configure static routes for your ZyWALL.
9.1 Static Route Overview
Each remote node specifies only the network to which the gateway is directly connected, and the ZyWALL
has no knowledge of the networks beyond. For instance, the ZyWALL knows about network N2 in the
following figure through remote node Router 1. However, the ZyWALL is unable to route a packet to
network N3 because it doesn't know that there is a route through the same remote node Router 1 (via gateway
Router 2). The static routes are for you to tell the ZyWALL about the networks beyond the remote nodes.
