CPU Frequency
This parameter displays your CPU’s speed and bus frequency. Selecting
this option displays the screen below:
Parameter Description Option
Bus Frequency The bus frequency refers to the speed by
which data is transferred between internal
computer components and the CPU or the
main memory of the CPU. A fast bus
allows data to be transferred faster, which
makes applications run faster.
CPU Frequency
Multiplier
Shows the CPU core/bus ratio of your
system. The clock speed of the bus does
not necessarily equal the CPU’s (core).
Mostly, the bus clock speed is slower than
the CPU clock speed. The sytem BIOS will
detect CPU frequency and set the CPU
Frequency Multiple automatically.
Processor
Speed
The processor speed is the speed at which a
microprocessor executes instructions.
Clock speeds are expressed in megahertz
(MHz), with 1 MHz being equal to 1 million
cycles per second. The faster the clock, the
more instructions the CPU can execute per
second.
