d. Put S1 in I position and see if varying voltage source from 0 to 20 volts produces a 0-5VDC level at W3 or W4.
If not check relay and programming protection circuit.

Troubleshooting Status Indicators.
The test set-up shown in Figure A-13 can be used to check each of the six
status indicators. This set-up will temporarily defeat the isolation of the status lines. Before attempting to
troubleshoot a status indicator, check for + 5V Bias for proper operation of the opto-couplers.
