4.0 Installation
4.8 Input voltage tap selection—208 Vac, 50/60 Hz use only
As furnished, the UPS is configured to operate from a single phase
220240 Vac, 50/60 Hz source. To operate the UPS from a 208 Vac, 50/60 Hz source,
the UPS must be reconfigured. The steps required for this action are listed below.
Note that regardless of the input voltage tap selected, the UPSs output will remain in
the 220240 Vac range unless an alternate power distribution plate is installed.
4.8.1 Turn off (O) the UPSs input circuit breaker and unplug the input power cord.
4.8.2 Remove the 10-32 x 3/8-in. SEM screw holding the red Input Voltage Select
Wire (see illustration) to the tap bar marked 240VACSELECT.
4.8.3 Move the red Input Voltage Select Wire to the tap bar marked
208VACSELECT and tighten the screw.
4.8.4 See Section 5.2.6 to check the UPSs upper transfer to on-battery voltage and to
set the UPSs output voltage reporting to 208V.
