7 Gently blow into the mouse case to remove any dust that has collected there.
8 Put the ball and the ring back in place.
Your mouse should roll smoothly across your mouse pad or desk. If it doesn’t, repeat these
instructions carefully.
Locking and Unlocking the Mouse
Your mouse can be locked so that the ball can’t be removed. To lock the mouse, follow these
steps:
m Insert a straightened paper clip into the hole on the plastic ring and press down on the
paper clip while you turn the ring clockwise.
Tu rn the ring a very short distance, until it stops. When the recessed area on the ring is not
lined up with the recessed area surrounding the ring, the mouse is locked.
Insert a straightened paper clip into this hole.
The mouse ring is locked when the ring clicks into a
position where it is at a slight angle to the rest of the mouse.
