16. Digital audio connector (4-1 pin SPDIF1)
(on audio models only)
This connector is for the bundled S/PDIF audio module that allows
digital instead of analog sound output. Connect one end of the audio
cable to the S/PDIF Out connector on the motherboard, and the other
end to the S/PDIF module.
17. Front panel audio connector (10-1 pin FP_AUDIO1)
(on audio models only)
This is an interface for the Intel front panel audio cable that allow
convenient connection and control of audio devices.
By default, the pins labeled LINE_OUT_R/BLINE_OUT_R and the pins
LINE_OUT_L/BLINE_OUT_L are shorted with jumper caps. Remove
the caps only when you are connecting the front panel audio cable.
